Test Drive Your Smile - Same Day Veneers, Same Day New Smile

We offer Technology where we scan your teeth, create a mock-up and then make a template for you to test your smile. We apply a temporary template to your teeth and if you are satisfied, we proceed to make it permanent. It's great because you can try veneers without shaving your teeth first, giving you a preview of the final result before committing to it permanently. If you decide to proceed, we can make it non-reelable for a lasting solution.

CBCT Technology in Pembroke Pines, FL

At Sweet Hart Dental, we want you to receive an unmatched quality of care. That’s why we offer advanced technology to aid in diagnosing and creating customized treatment plans with precision and ease.

With the help of our award-winning technology, we can examine the smallest details to formulate a well thought out plan prior to your treatments. Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is used in our CS 8100 3D and the CS 3600 devices and it has revolutionized the way we view the contours of your smile.

The first step to any treatment is to establish an error-proof plan that will keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. With the help of our 3D images, you can rest assured that your treatment will be effective and efficient.

Technology

How the CS 3600 Works

When you’re getting a dental implant, you want to feel confident that the procedure will be carried out with detailed accuracy to keep you comfortable every step of the way. The CS 3600 intraoral digital scanner makes acquiring images faster and easier so we can focus on planning your treatment instead of going back and forth to get x-rays.

The 3D digital scanner transfers full HD color images to a computer where we can plan the details of your surgery with technology by our side. Dr. Hart will run the pen-sized tip of the scanner along the contours of your mouth as the device continuously takes pictures, allowing for a quick and error-proof vision of the surface area.

Throughout the scan, the device will provide feedback in real-time to indicate if there are areas that need to be rescanned. There’s no back and forth with x-rays, all the images will be captured while you’re in the comfort of your chair.

While Dr. Hart will ensure you have detailed images for your dental implant surgery, she doesn’t perform the surgery. You can schedule an appointment with her after your surgery to place your crown.

CS 8100 3D Imagery

The CS 8100 3D provides 3D and panoramic views of your teeth, bone, and nerves, so we can see the whole picture. It also has ten times less radiation than traditional CT scans. An x-ray beam in the shape of a cone will move around you to create numerous high-quality images that will then be used to plan your treatment.

CS 8100 3D is commonly used for planning orthodontic treatments and other various complex issues such as:

  • Surgical planning for impacted teeth and dental implants
  • Diagnosing temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD)
  • Spotting and measuring jaw tumors
  • Finding the cause of pain

Frequently Asked Questions

A CBCT scan doesn’t require any preparation ahead of time. You’ll want to let Dr. Hart know if there’s a chance of you being pregnant. She’ll ask you to remove any objects containing metal such as hairpins, jewelry, and glasses. Removal of metal will ensure we receive a clear image and that you won’t encounter any unnecessary radiation.

A CT scanner has a fan beam that spirals around the target and has a longer radiation exposure time. It’s effective in diagnosing issues that affect soft tissue, blood vessels, and bones. It aids in deciding an effective treatment plan and determining if a particular treatment is working. A CT scan requires that you lie down on your back while the table you’re on moves in and out of the CT scanner. The scanner constantly takes cross-sectional images of your body that will later be examined by your doctor. A CBCT scanner is used specifically in dentistry and ENT (ear, nose, and throat) to diagnose problems in the maxillofacial region. A CBCT scanner is smaller and faster in comparison to the traditional CT scanner and therefore gives off lower doses of radiation. You can easily get a CBCT scan in sitting or standing right at our office.

A CBCT scan is a type of x-ray. X-rays utilize a circular beam method, while CBCT is known for its cone beam panoramic imagery. While an x-ray can show skeletal surfaces and the structure of your teeth, they lack the ability to show soft tissue. A CBCT scan can show how soft tissue relates to the surrounding areas which gives a more detailed picture of the whole patient.

A CS 3600 is used in orthodontics treatments, dental implant preparation, and to craft the perfect restoration such as a crown. Since we can use the scanner to take 3D images of both arches, the bite, and contour of your teeth and mouth, we can plan and prepare for treatments with more accuracy than ever before.
